As an embedded systems and open source software services provider, with specialist world class engineering capability in commercial grade Compiler Tool Chain and a full breadth of OS, Machine Learning and AI sectors, we recognise the inter-connected world we live in and the various ecosystems we are a part of. One of these is to encourage youth into science and technology careers through our intern philosophy, overall health and well-being of the team and our community contribution.
This year as part of our outreach, we’ve supported the Lymington Cricket Club and the W10 Purple Cobras, a local women’s softball ‘cricket’ team. Cricket being rather analogous to Embecosm technologies as it is a very technical game with many facets and elements working together much like the technology we engage with in our work.
In a year where women’s sport is more prominent in the media than previous, it is exciting to see our own local women’s team thriving, with them coming third out of twelve in the HCB Winter League at Drummer in Basingstoke, coming 3rd when they travelled out to La Manga, Spain to take part in an International Softball Competition and making it through to the finals of the HCB Summer League.
To follow their progression through the year please follow their twitter or website.
Our very own Commercial Director Ian Loveless is a passionate cricketer and coach with three sons all playing the game!
We would like to wish the Lymington Cricket Club W10 Ladies – The Purple Cobras good luck in their final on Sunday 21st July! Hope that you compile a very high number of runs and come back with a trophy!
